Who we are
The Mira Costa Institute is a non-profit civil society organization founded on May 5, 2022, and headquartered in São João da Ponta, Pará. We work to transform the lives of children, adolescents, and young people in situations of social vulnerability through sports, education, culture, and social support. Our mission is to strengthen family and community ties, promote citizenship, and develop individual protagonism, always guided by principles of inclusion, ethics, respect for diversity, and sustainability. We work in partnership with other entities to expand our impact and contribute to a more just and egalitarian society.
Promote the integral development of children, adolescents and young people in situations of social vulnerability, through sport, education, culture and social support, strengthening family and community ties and encouraging citizenship and individual protagonism.
To be a reference in promoting the integral development of children, adolescents and young people in situations of social vulnerability, contributing to the construction of a more just, inclusive and civic society

Respect for Diversity: Value and respect cultural, social and individual differences. Citizenship: Encourage the full exercise of citizenship and the protagonism of individuals.
- Promote sports practice for children, adolescents and young people in situations of social vulnerability; Support the complementary education of children and young people, contributing to social inclusion; Carry out cultural activities covering music, visual arts, theater, among others; Promote social inclusion and equal opportunities Strengthen family and community ties through sports, cultural and educational activities.
